People are leaving because of gameriot, why would you wait and keep GR and make everyone leave?

 

They would if they had the time or the need to Sonata.

I was looking at some layout, functions and usage examples of different forum softwares. But I think the finding is maybe over.

i am not too worried about people leaving... we have emails... we will send an email blast when the new site goes live.... and everyone will return... this I know and this is why I am not too worried about GR... I will even be active.

The new site.. we are for the DB guy to get things moving.. he is "buys until after the new year"... but GR did give us the database!

how does everyone feel about getting four or five professional writers to keep the page up to date with the latest news...?

 

Do it Logan. Get some real **** up on this site, and maybe it will grow substantially 

 

I don't have any problem with that. Writers are what make the site worth going to. So if you can get some pros, that would be great. You and Qain seem to be capable of holding the new site together until you get some extra writers, when it comes to your blog etiquette. I think the site will be huge within six months after the relaunch. Here's to hoping it will.

 

yeah... the idea is to find student or aspiring writer/blogger in these categories:

action/ fps
rpg/ adventure
strategy
hardware
software
anime
metal (for kim mostly)

And we let them help us grow the site. They will be building their reputation... I know we have a ton of talent right here... so that is a good start. I will do some hardware blogs like old days... I don't have my camera now though... have to get my hands on one...

We also have to start linking our articles to n4g.com  ... that site is a necessary evil.

 

I could do hardware blogs if you want! It's also really great to see that you guys are active again.

 

Im not a writing student but I am an IT student, id be happy to write some hardware/software related blogs once in a while. i do plan to buy alot of new **** for my computer this year.

 

I'm not one to ***** about something I don't have to pay for. Nor am I one to demand time and energy from someone who, more than likely, has little of either. Why some people would do both is absent from my realm of conception.

The new site will be done when the people paying for it, and the people taking time out of their day to create it are done and ready to offer us a website we don't have to pay for while receiving a great deal of service.
