This post is from our other website: FreakingEvil.comIs it just me or are Heroes hard to find?
All day long people are constantly trying to convince me that they are the voice of reason, or that they deserve to be recognized for their world view.
Writers, bartenders, politicians, newsmakers, fathers, baseball players, scientists, psychopaths, and comedians. Isn't it sometimes overwhelming?
And, how in the world can you really tell if someone is a true Hero?!
Well, I've spent the past 2 years doing an in-depth investigation on the Mainstream Media (MSM), and I have decided to share some of my findings through this new weekly column:
"Herman's Heroes."Today's hero, Keith Olbermann.
Name: Keith Olbermann Age: 49 Birthdate: January 27, 1959 Origin: New York, NY Education: B.A., Cornell University Current Occupation: Host of "Countdown w/ Keith Olbermann" and News Anchor for MSNBCLink: http://countdown.msnbc.com/Famous For: Intense "Special comments" at the end of his news program, in which he scolds politicians, usually Republicans. Also the "Worst Person in the World." segment which focuses on running down the daily top 3 worst persons in the world.Bullets of heroism:httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qvz9jyf4gUk

Quotes:"Without humor, a sports fan is a religious fanatic. Without humor, a newscast is a terrible, depressing, unpalatable thing."
"The world bursts at the seams with people ready to tell you you're not good enough. On occasion, some may be correct. But do not do their work for them. Seek any job; ask anyone out; pursue any goal. Don't take it personally when they say 'no' — they may not be smart enough to say "yes."
"I just think if you're 44 years old and you're not smarter than you were when you were 35 years old or 25 years old, just stay in your room."
Herman's Perspective: Listen, I am not a liberal. As a registered independent I have voted for the same amount of republicans and democrats throughout my life. But the current republican administration has been a pretty serious embarrassment for all of us. And Keith has had not only the courage to loudly crticize George W. Bush and his league of minions, but the gall to stand up to them when they try to shut him up. He begins every show by kindly reminding us how many days are left before the 2008 presidential elections (110!) which I consider to be a revealing glimpse into his character. Keith then counts down (hence "Countdown") the top headlines of the day with a wit and brilliance few others can even wish to exude. Then he ends the show by reminding us of another number, how many days have passed since President Bush declared "Mission Accomplished" in Iraq (1900+ days... that's over 5 years ago... seriously.) That is a serious bummer, so as he signs off, he leaves us with short but encouraging line: "Goodnight, and good luck."And that is exactly what makes Keith Olbermann a true Hero.
and Bill O'Reilly seems like a douche bag....just watch him get owned here:

it seems that when anyone makes a point that in his eyes is wrong, he speaks over them...and he seems to twist facts and what people say to try and make him sound right...why does he have that job, if he can't do it properly.
Another "Worst Person In The World" video, I wander who it could be.... =P
