T-Mobile, At&t, and all those other mobile phone companies are all run by scoundrels that put greed above the well being of the customers. Customers are just dollar signs.
Now let me vent about the Sidekick 2008. I don't have it. My wife does have one and is really loving it/ hating it.
The phone is so cool that they are able to charge extra for a special "Sidekick plan" that includes unlimited text messaging and (somewhat) slow internet access. This plan adds about $20 to your monthly bill. When you go into the store they tell you that you do not have to get this plan. You can use the phone just as a phone without internet or anything extra. You just need to sign up for a (more reasonably priced) T-Mobile plan. This is what my wife does. It worked great with her last Sidekick. She used it as a phone and she texted like crazy with the full keyboard (she is a text freak).
This year she upgraded to the Sidekick 2008. This is where the trouble started. The phone would not display any names when a text message was received. She would just receive a new message from "555-555-5555"... or whatever the number was. The number would be saved on her sim and in her contacts and it would still never display correctly. Also, the phone would not give her any notification when she received a text message.
She called to complain. They immediately started trying to sell her the Sidekick plan. "If you spend the extra money your phone will work properlly."
They even said that the problem was a known issue at the time she purchased the phone and they refused to let her trade the phone in. The did offer a discount on a more expensive phone.
T-Mobile, it is unacceptable that you sold a phone with a "known issue" and you failed to inform the customer at the time of purchase. Furthermore, every time my wife calls she is assured that the issue is known and they they "may or may not fix it". They then try to sell her the Sidekick plan.
I am going to plug this thing into the computer and see if I can hack this horrible piece of software that T-Mobile and all of their money has developed for the Sidekick 2008. As it stands, T-Mobile needs to apologize to all these customers, issue refunds where due, and patch the damn software.
I understand that there are other phones that require a special plan to work. The trouble is that this one does not require any special plan. Therefore, they sell you a broken phone.

So like I said, you find anyway to hack Tmobile out of money, get at me at

Have a wonderful evening.
